Linda, or LJ as most of her clientele call her, has been in the hair biz for over 50 years – if you count Barbies and baby dolls. Linda practically grew up with a scissors in her hands. She was compelled at even an early age to style, cut and color her dolls’ hair. When high school rolled around, it seemed like the natural thing to do to go to Cosmetology school. She’s been working with the families of Chesterland ever since – initially at Images Hair Salon and ultimately on her own, opening Snip, Clip & Polish in 2004.
Linda is an avid animal lover and has volunteered at The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the Geauga Dog Warden. Many charitable organizations are close to Linda’s heart, as she supports many and often participates in walks/runs. By the way, there is an open invitation every June to join Team Snip, Clip & Polish as they support The Gathering Place’s “Race for the Place”.
Linda loves her clientele and opened Snip, Clip & Polish so she never felt like she had to “work” another day.
Favorite hairstyle of all time: Meg Ryan’s texturized wavy cut
Celebrity that you wish you could make over: Donald Trump!
Worst hairstyle you ever tried yourself: A pixie cut my mom had done on me in the 6th grade. I looked like Captain Kangaroo!
Tried and true haircare tip that any woman can do: Even if you’re growing your hair out, trim your hair regularly. It looks healthier and it will grow faster. Also, hair color and highlights really do give your hair extra body.
What food/fruit/veg do you put on your hair? I don’t really use fruits or veggies on my hair. Like everyone else, I used to add lemon to water and spray it on my hair in the summer. Doesn’t that count?
Kim’s the sunny voice that usually answers the phone and takes your appointments. She’s the person that encourages you to guess how many M&M’s are in the jar to get a free hair cut, or tells you about the newest product we’re carrying. Or, encourages you to make your next appointment before you leave. She also likes to test new recipes and share them in the Snip, Clip & Polish newsletter. Kim is married and has three children plus her very first grandchild on the way in late 2015! Some might call her the most social person in the salon and Kim wouldn’t disagree.
Favorite hairstyle of all time: Pixie.
Celebrity that you wish you could make over:
Worst hairstyle you ever tried yourself: I have naturally curly hair so I sported an afro-like hairstyle for most of my life. When I started working at SCP, my stylist helped me make a change. Thanks, Linda!
Tried and true haircare tip that any woman can do:
What food/fruit/veg do you put on your hair? I don’t believe I’ve ever tried fruits or veggies on my hair. All of my foods, fruits and veggies have gone in my mouth. Maybe I should have put them on my hair instead…I might be a bit slimmer!
Christina has been at Snip, Clip & Polish since 2007. In that time, she has also grown her family to include three beautiful daughters. Before Snip, Clip & Polish, Christina worked at both Best Cuts and Raun Hair Salon. She doesn’t remember a time where she didn’t want to “do hair”. She has a passion for working with people and helping them feel good by having a great haircut. She appreciates the flexibility the salon life gives her so she can raise her kids and keep working in a profession she loves.
Favorite hairstyle of all time: I don’t really have one.
Celebrity that you wish you could make over: Miley Cyrus. LOL!
Worst hairstyle you ever tried yourself: A really short bob cut when I was little.

What food/fruit/veg do you put on your hair? No, but some people like coconut oil and mayonnaise.
